Hello! I’ve gone from illustrating full-time to tattooing full-time, so please hop over to my new site:
Born and raised in Florida, Amanda LaForest uses her work to explore the experience of growing up in a tourist state - specifically 1990s Treasure Island. In what is often seen as part nostalgia, part dread, she illustrates the common love-hate relationship many young Floridians have with their home.
On her days off she can be found eating Cuban food in St. Pete, chatting up older tourists at beach bars, or floating in the Gulf.
